Hey Kev, I really loved the video of your riding Jackson all over the property where you are now. Very nice place to ride and put good productive rides on Jackson it seems he's coming along really well now. Keep up the good work you're doing a fine job with him after that idot caused your accident and now having to reasure him to trust you as his rider. You two are doing so much better!!!

That must be it. I hope all her training will be a bit easier like that because she knows I'm in charge now. I figured I'd start with the lunging to get her out and working and doing a little excercise because she's so out of shape, than ease into riding again. She needs a ton of work in that department, I guess we both do. Hopefully we'll get it together and start making some progress.

Remember how you told me on my one Beauty training thread that I needed to work her thru her lunging issue and get her to go counterclockwise?
Well, I decided to do just that yesterday. I started out going clockwise which she's fine with at the walk, trot, and whoa. Then I made her go the other way, expecting her to totally freak out like she always has before. But she never did. I had her walk and trot counterclockwise, then go the other way, and then counterclockwise again and she behaved the whole time! I couldn't believe it. I don't know what's changed, but her whole attitude seems different now. I swear it's all connected to the hoof training.

Buck Steiner saddle - I may consider parting with it, have too many saddles in a Semi-QH tree and no more Semi-QH horses. Also have a 15" Saddle King of Texas, 1960's, in better shape then the Buck Steiner, has the bear trap style.
