My big bro has me using the F-word because I hear him say it all the time and now I can't seem to quit. Not that I've tried all that hard.
I don't swear in front of my grandma though (at least I try not to and never any bad ones), when I'm at work, or in front of little kids if I can help it. I keep it clean in front of adults too... except my parents. And best friend Donna.
Me too, my dad taught me to say some pretty darn hilariously inappropriate things when I was little.

The first time I swore in front of my Grandma she didn't talk to me for 3 days. It was kind of nice actually. She gets agitated whenever I'd say inappropriate things until just recently. Now I'm 18 and I guess all hope has been lost to try to correct those things in her eyes.

There's nothing wrong with this. My parents always said that it was OK for me to use the same swear words they did in the house as long as I used some judgment.

But in the company of people we either don't know, or know but aren't sure where they stand on the "sailor talk", it's important to be respectful. You obviously completely understand this.

Zoe,
Remember when the much-younger you slipped and smashed into the mirror with your nose? We had to ask you to tone down the thinly-veiled swear word a little, but I will admit that I still laugh if I think about that scene. Leaning, leaning, toward the mirror to work on the eyebrow, a little slippery on the floor, oops!, WHAM!!!! It's OK to laugh now, right? That was a few years ago.

Hahaha this just made me laugh out loud. I remember that, not a proud day for me.

You can't even tell about my nose any more, it looks pretty normal, but man that hurt!
