If you are that uncomfortable in that saddle something is wrong. I have 2 saddles a circle y roper, with some padding and a wade with a hard seat. I can ride all day in either, and not hurt and I have NO butt............Kevin

I do think women's butts are different from mens. Pelvic bone thing.. I had a saddle that fit me great when I was a teen. 10 yrs later no way could I ride it for more than 30 mins without suffering. Actually neither could my husband.

I recently bought an A fork saddle from a forum member. Love it, but it killed my butt bones. I bought a tush cush and it doesn't bother me at all now. My DIL has a bad tailbone and always has pain after riding. She borrowed it yesterday and noticed a difference.. I recommend them.

So, how did it go?

I was going to suggest standing in your stirrups every so often, to let the blood flow back to your hiney. Try tucking your rear under you more, so you're a bit on your pockets. Anything to change up your position every 20-30 minutes.

My DH uses a real sheepskin seat saver on his saddle. It's really nice, though you do need to "fluff" it between rides. Use a slicker dog grooming brush. I have a Skito Rear Gear seat cover. It has this memory foam in side that is SO SO SOOOOO comfortable. I love it! Both will shrink your seat a bit though. If your saddle fits "just right", then go with the cashel tush cushion. It doesn't have any foam or padding behind your rear, so the saddle stays the same size .

Thanks Tammy!!

Luv: I rode in the WEstern saddle & my butt feels fine this am? So I don't know. Maybe I was sitting weird the day before & that was why my bum hurt or maybe I just was moving more yesterday that I didn't get a chance to have a hurt bum. None the less, I will investing in one of those seat covers of some sort. I should of never bought this saddle in the first place, I kinda felt pressured from a friend & it was cheap so I jumped into that compulsive buying I get into sometimes when it comes to "horse" stuff. LOL. O well.
